Please note that the therapists associated with SJPCS are independent providers and are not employees of SJPCS. Each therapist maintains their own individual credentialing, contracts directly with health insurance companies, and sets their own schedule and availability.

Because each provider determines which insurance plans they participate with, some therapists may not accept every insurance plan. In addition, your selected therapist may not have availability for specific appointment times, including evening appointments.

If the therapist you selected does not participate with your insurance or is unable to accommodate your scheduling needs, we will let you know and help you review your options, which may include:

  1. Choosing a different therapist who is in-network with your insurance and/or has availability that better fits your schedule;
  2. Using any available out-of-network benefits, if applicable; or
  3. Electing to continue as a self-pay patient.
